Vancouver Finlandia Club  was formed in 1971.  It is a non-profit, non-religious and non-political organization. VFC was formed to integrate and enlighten the Finnish population in British Columbia in order to improve the well being of its members, both in body and spirit, and to make Finland known to Canadians as well as Canada and its culture known to Finnish people.

As a member of the Finland House Society, Vancouver Finlandia Club operates out of the Scandinavian Community Centre, 6540 Thomas Street, Burnaby, B.C. Canada V5B 4P9

Vancouver Finlandia Club sponsors an adult folk dancing group, language lessons for children and adults, and holds numerous social events throughout the year. We also publish the Länsirannikon Uutiset / West Coast News, offering Finnish news and culture from the West Coast of Canada.

As part of the 50th anniversary celebrations, the Länsirannikon Uutiset / West Coast News has been publishing a series of historical articles, reflecting and reminiscing on the past 50 years of the Vancouver Finlandia Club.
